botimer My intuition is that unless you have a room with impeccable acoustic treatment, the room makes a way bigger difference than the mic. It also totally depends what you’re doing. If you’re recording a lot of different vocalists, then something like this could make sense.Permalink On twitter.com

botimer Otoh, if you’re just recording yourself, find what sounds good for you and save a bunch of money. And if you’re recording guitar amp cabinets, a dynamic is probably the way to go.On twitter.com
