  1. Been thinking about this post I saw on Mastodon about community hosting. On one hand, yes, absolutely! It reminds me of when the public library was my ISP and I’d dial in from my 14.4 modem. 1/2

      But on the other hand, it reminds me of the Whole Earth Catalog self-sufficiency era of the late 1960s that ended up leading to Silicon Valley as we know it today. Everything old is new again, for better or for worse. 2/2
