I spend a bit of time exploring in Sketch or Figma, but very quickly reach a point where I need to see things with real data and in any combination of states.

Doing that in a DRY way in a graphical editor is nearly impossible, even with extensive use of symbols/components. And the design stage is when DRY is _most_ important, because it’s when things are most likely to change.
