  1. Last time I was in shul, over 2 months ago (when masks were still required, case counts were lower, and we met in a much larger room), I was chatting with the rabbi afterwards and he said once the weather turned we’d go back outside.

      When this week’s email said they’d be inside again despite a forecast of upper-60s °F, I emailed minyan leadership. The response? “We had not discussed moving back outside when the weather is nice. I am raising it with the team.”

        I’m furious. Was he politicking me, saying what I wanted to hear to placate me? Wanting me to _feel_ heard without actually caring if I was there? The moral of the story is that if you don’t want covid but want to be in community, you have to fight for it. I am so over shuls.
