      Noleli They needed orthogonal tubes so that regardless of the wave’s incident angle, the laser and a mirror wouldn’t be hit simultaneously.

      Noleli They measured displacement of the mirror. They could also have measured a freq shift from light at the end of the tube.

      Noleli I think I get it! Yes, a grav wave is a perturbation of both space and time, but either shift can be measured from an external FoR.
