      None of my family came through NY, and I’m 3rd gen N․Am-native. 2.5-gen midwest raised. I don’t sound like I’m from NYC. And that’s all.

      One of the more interesting features of Modern Orthodox (and Yeshivish?) is that /d/ is more dental as opposed to palatal. Not discussed.

      Hesitation click is Jewish? From Israeli Hebrew? I hear it in American English speakers of many ethnicities, but almost exclusively women.
