  1. LRT: Chrome is a nonstarter since I avoid Google as much as possible. Safari lacks the extension ecosystem that lets you do things like isolate sites in containers and auto-delete all but whitelisted cookies every time you close a tab. Firefox lacks native widgets.       Chrome for Mac runs a daemon as root. (It’s called Keystone or ksfetch and is ostensibly for software updating.) If you didn’t know, now you know.
